- Contact doctors and clinics to obtain follow-up data
- Keep track of patient data using databases
- Clinical trial and study protocol design and monitoring of research studies

- Educate and consent participants for studies
- BA/BS or equivalent degree in life sciences or related field
- 1-4 years of experience clinical research coordination in a prenatal and/or oncology setting
- Experience with clinical databases
- Excellent writing skills
- Attention to detail
- Experience with project management tools

- Analyze laboratory specimens following the standard methods and procedures
- Maintain equipment and instruments in good operating condition, recognize any malfunctions and troubleshoot as needed.
- Verify the proper specimen being analyzed for patients and perform correct tests that need to be completed.
- Complete routine preventive maintenance and troubleshooting on instruments and equipment
- Responsible for maintaining updated understanding and knowledge of the methods employed in the laboratory
- Perform Quality Control tests on new incoming shipments of raw materials
- Performs other tasks as specified by the manager/director.

A full-time Junior Specialist position is available in a new research lab at the Department of Cell Biology and Human Anatomy. The goal of our lab is to understand at a cellular and molecular level how newborn neurons in the developing brain navigate and successfully reach their final positions.
Responsibilities
Responsibilities of this position will include planning, execution, and presentation of experiments including maintaining cell lines, preparation and transfection of cultured neurons, immunostainings, molecular biology and PCR. The individual will also play a key role in lab management activities involving animal inventory and care, maintaining lab supplies/inventories and general lab organization.
