We are partnering with Davis Senior High School to start a teaching internship program in their chemistry and biology classes, exclusive to ASBMB members. Refresh your memory on the foundations of biochemistry by sharing your knowledge with younger students! Members will have the opportunity to be an interactive teacher's assistant in their classroom, help out in their labs, and possibly teach their own class. Plus, you may get transcript notation as well.
Group Discussions
Are you interested in hosting your own discussions about a pre-professional related topic? ASBMB can help you plan and host your own event! This is a great opportunity to improve your presentation and communication skills and get hands-on experience in planning an official event. Presentation topics can range from career talks, women in STEM, preventing sexual harassment in STEM, or transitioning between careers. If interested, please email us at [email protected]
Peer Leadership Program
Are you a new Biochemistry major and would like a mentor? You should definitely consider enrolling in our Peer Leadership Program! This program will help new Biochemistry majors who have just entered Davis become more familiar with their major and career goals. They will be paired with experienced individuals who have similar career goals or interests so that they are able to help each other through the difficulties of being a Biochemistry major.
Undergraduate Research Internship Program (on hold)
Interested in working in a research lab? ASBMB is pleased to announce that we are officially opening applications for our Research Internship Program! We have positions available for several professors’ labs, so if you are looking for laboratory and research experience, this is a great opportunity!
